Ruchi Singal is a seasoned development and strategy professional with over 15 years of experience in designing and executing large-scale projects across education, skilling, livelihood, gender, and social sustainability. Currently serving as a Director at PwC India, she leads initiatives under the Social Sustainability and ESG practice, focusing on impact measurement, financial innovation, and integrating gender and inclusion lenses into public policy and institutional frameworks.
Throughout her career, Ruchi has played a pivotal role in strengthening India’s skilling ecosystem, working with central and state governments, corporates, and multilateral agencies to design and assess programs that enhance employability, foundational literacy, and women’s economic empowerment. At KPMG India, she led multiple national-level skilling and education projects, including the assessment of Centrally Sponsored Schemes for Skill Development and Education (commissioned by NITI Aayog), and the design and implementation of private-sector engagement frameworks for large bilateral-funded literacy programs.
Her expertise spans project design, strategy, M&E, and impact assessment, with hands-on experience in developing ESG and impact measurement frameworks, innovative financial tools such as blended finance, and public-private partnerships for social good. Ruchi has also co-founded a social enterprise, Oriel, which promoted reading as a foundational skill for low-income learners — demonstrating her entrepreneurial approach to systemic education challenges.
Ruchi holds an M.A. in Social Entrepreneurship from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and an Engineering degree in Information Technology from Kurukshetra University. Her interdisciplinary expertise enables her to operate at the intersection of business, community, and policy, designing scalable solutions for inclusive development.
